I went to the Waterfall Trail for the first time yesterday with fellow photographer Tom Harper to photograph some of the waterfalls dotted around the trail. Because of the compacted snow that had turned to ice it was a little difficult to keep up right, especially with a weighty back pack full of my 5×4 gear.
I fired off 7 sheets in total, 2 duplicates since I let Tom expose his first sheet. I’ve only developed 4 of the 7 sheets so far and I’ll process and print some low contrast 8×10 contact sheets on Monday so I can see where the textured areas are and so I can see what I can do with the negatives when I make some full sized test prints.
It was a really nice day, quite cold, but -2 will put some colour in your cheeks.
